John has over fifteen years of experience in health care. He has broad experience in the direction of forensic, financial related, attestation, compliance and operational engagements. John has experience with physician practices, managed care organizations, social service agencies, health care contractors, clinical laboratories, durable medical equipment companies, skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. His responsibilities include the direction of health care compliance engagements, strategic analysis and educational programs. John’s experience is summarized as follows:
- Supervised the investigation of managed care organizations, social service agencies, health care contractors, clinical laboratories and hospitals. During John’s career with the Office of Inspector General, he coordinated the investigation of hospitals in seventeen states involving laboratory billings.
- Performed coding reviews to assess the propriety of billing services, drugs and supplies to the Medicare and various Medicaid programs.
- Performed auditing/investigative services in civil litigation matters involving Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse.
- Performed compliance engagements including both voluntary and those mandated under corporate integrity agreements.
- Performed compliance due diligence engagements.
