Gillian Broderick Gillian Broderick has over 15 years of experience in healthcare. She has been in her role as the Vice President of Health Information Privacy since 2001. Gillian serves as Privacy and Security Officer for her organization and is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of policies and educational materials in support of the Privacy Rule and Security Rule requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Her ongoing responsibilities include compliance oversight as well as compliance with individual state’s privacy and security requirements. With a degree in computer science, she works closely with the Information Systems Department to ensure alignment between security and privacy practices. Recently Gillian’s role has expanded to be the lead for the implementation of electronic health record systems in her organization. Gillian works for Fundamental Administrative Services (FAS), a management company that provides administrative support to skilled nursing facilities, long term care hospitals, hospice, outpatient rehab clinics and a durable medical equipment company.
